Who we are
Trnd is a fashion trend discovery app built and operated by Trnd. If you have any questions about this policy or your data, contact us at trndappco@gmail.com.
What data we collect
We collect the following information when you use Trnd:
- Account information — your email address and password when you create an account
- Profile information — your username, display name, bio, style preferences, and favourite brands
- Content you post — photos, videos, captions, trend tags, and shop links you upload to the app
- Usage data — trends you view, save, or search for; posts you interact with; creators you follow
- Device information — device type, operating system, and push notification token
- Click data — when you tap shop links in the app, we record the timestamp, the post and creator the link came from, and your approximate country
- Communications — messages you send us via the feedback or support form in the app
How we use your data
We use your data to:
- Provide and personalise the Trnd experience — your feed, trend recommendations, and creator suggestions
- Send you push notifications about trends, creators, and activity on your posts (you can control these in your notification settings)
- Track affiliate link clicks to calculate creator earnings
- Detect and prevent abuse, spam, and unsafe content
- Improve the app based on how people use it
- Respond to your support and feedback messages
How we store your data
Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a cloud database provider. Media files (photos and videos) are stored and processed via Cloudinary. Both services use industry-standard encryption at rest and in transit.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data is permanently deleted within 30 days.
Who we share your data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the following third-party services that help us operate Trnd:
- Supabase — database and authentication
- Cloudinary — media storage and processing
- Expo — push notification delivery
- Sentry — error monitoring
- Google Safe Browsing — link safety checking
Each of these providers has their own privacy policy and processes data only as necessary to provide their service.
Cookies and tracking
The Trnd mobile app does not use cookies. We use anonymised analytics to understand how the app is used in aggregate. We do not track you across other apps or websites.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data (you can do this directly in the app via Settings → Privacy → Delete account)
- Object to or restrict how we process your data
- Data portability — receive a copy of your data in a portable format

Children
Trnd is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. For significant changes we will notify you via the app.
